Dexter Payne dedicates this CD to his friend and mentor, his “irmão maior”, the late Gaudencio Thiago de Mello. It honors the rich tradition of clarinet in Brazilian music, known in the northern hemisphere to only a few, with a collection of tunes well known in Brazil for the most part, representing two distinct genre, chorinho (shoo RIN yo) and baião (by-YOWN)
